MIAMI SHORES, Fla.-- Nico Gercke has earned another honor to add to his growing collection as he was named to the 2014 Daktronics All-South Region First Team.
The senior midfielder led the team with eight goals this year, including four against Florida Southern on his Senior Night.
This is the fourth honor on the year for Gercke, who has also been named to the Capital One Academic All-America Team, the All-SSC Second Team and the CoSIDA Academic All-Region Team for his academic and athletic excellence.
He's the 10th Buccaneer to be named to the All-South Region Team and the first since 2011.
In his time at Barry, Gercke scored 13 goals and had five assists for the Bucs.
