Men’s Golf Leads Spring All-American Class

The spring crop of Buccaneer All-Americans features many new faces, highlighted by three players from the national championship men’s golf team.

Senior Hernan Borja, who placed second at the nationals, was selected to the PING/Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division II first team, making him the first Buccaneer to receive the honor. Fellow seniors Nick Gillaspy and Juan Weissenberg each received honorable mentions.

BU’s tennis teams had two All-Americans. Junior Patrick Rittenauer captured his second singles award after finishing the season with a No. 4 national ranking. On the women’s side, junior Ildiko Csordas brought home her third singles award.

RemiJin Camping earned her third straight NGCA women’s golf All-America award.

Orestes Gonzalez, an honorable mention selection by the NCBWA at utility, is the Bucs’ second baseball All-American in the program’s 23-year history.

The seven spring All-Americans brings Barry’s 23-year total to 160 awards in 13 sports.
