Jungemann Named Head Women’s Soccer Coach

Fred JungemannFred Jungemann has been named the Buccaneers’ new head women’s soccer coach, becoming only the fifth coach in the program’s 23-year history. He replaces former head coach Kyllene Carter-Weiss, who headed the Barry’s women’s soccer program for six seasons compiling a 74-23-10 record.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to be a part of a program with the history Barry has established,” Jungemann said. “I look forward to working with the women’s program and moving them in the direction they are accustomed to.”

Jungemann comes to Barry after serving as the assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s programs at Cal State-L.A. In two seasons with the Golden Eagles, he helped lead the men’s program to the second round of the NCAA Division II national tournament and the women to their best season finish in school history in 2006.
