Alumni Connection

Letter from President of the Alumni Board of Directors

DEAR ALUMNI,

As we embark on a new school year, we reflect upon the outstanding goals and achievements of the Alumni Association. The leadership of our Alumni Association board of directors continues to work toward excellence as we serve our fellow alumni who are committed to our mission and giving back to the University in a multitude of ways.

In addition to the numerous programs and benefits we already offer our alumni, such as customized license plates, credit cards and discounted car insurance, we have recently added other opportunities for alums to network through our first Barry cruise, wine and cheese parties, retreats and other upcoming events in 2009.

With the addition of rapidly growing chapters from the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law and the School of Podiatric Medicine, we continue to engage alumni and supporters from around the world. Additionally, many of our more than 40,000 alums are participating in newly formed programs such as FAB (Future Alumni of Barry) and the Barry Ambassadors. Both of these groups help keep students connected to Barry from their first day of freshman year through graduation and into the coming years as they establish their careers and start families of their own.

We are very excited to continue expanding and improving your Alumni Association and welcome your thoughts, suggestions and contributions.

Yours in faith and service,
Maura F. O’Shea Owens ’91,’94’,’95
President, Alumni Board of Directors
