Leadership Development

Proceeds from the grant will be used for the school’s Exceptional Student Education Program (ESE).

The purpose of the grant is to support students in pursuing a doctorate degree in leadership and education with a specialization in ESE. The grant will pay for students’ tuition, textbooks, conference attendance and research. Known as project SELECT (Special Education Leaders Ethnically and Culturally Trained,) the four-year program is designed to prepare seven successful candidates for faculty (or teacher preparation) positions in special education.
