Going Green

The program was aimed at raising awareness of recycling both on campus and on a global scale.

Throughout the week, Barry offices and residence halls collected their recyclables, which were then combined at the end of the week outside Thompson Hall. More than 30 offices participated in the initiative, with 50 students volunteering to collect the items from around campus. As a result of the program, the university is now in discussions to implement a recycling program on campus by the end of the semester.

SGA senators Naomi Brioche and Hannah James proposed the original idea for the week, which was then organized with the support of SGA.
