Raising the Bar
An impressive 79.1 percent of graduates from the Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law taking the Florida Bar Exam for the first time have passed, according to a September 17 report released by the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. The report is based on results from the July 2007 Bar Exam.
July’s first-time passage rate is the highest in Barry’s history, surpassing the 72 percent set in July 2006. In all, a total of 3,216 applicants from across the state took the Bar Exam in Tampa, with 1,593 passing and being admitted to The Florida Bar by the Florida Supreme Court. Eighty-six Barry Law School students took the Bar Exam for the first time in July resulting in 68 earning a passing score. |
