Eric V. Hires, Esq.’94

Eric Hires began his legal career working as a paralegal during the day while attending law school at night and on the weekends. The long hours and hard work paid off when Hires graduated fourth in his class from Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law and went on to become a member of the Florida Bar in September 2004.

While at law school Hires also received the award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy, the Faculty Professionalism Award and the Leonard E. Birdsong Academic Excellence Award.

In January 2005, he formed the law firm of Morgan & Hires, LLC, specializing in personal injury, workers’ compensation, and wrongful death.

Hires received certification through the National Football League Players’ Association in 2006 allowing him to represent athletes in contract negotiations with NFL teams. Also in 2006, Hires became an acting member of the Advisory Board for Barry’s law school.

He has been a guest lecturer on various legal topics at the law school, Keiser University, and the Institute for Paralegal Education.

After practicing for several years in Winter Park, Florida, with Morgan & Hires, LLC, and Morgan, Hires & Boynton, LLC, he established The Law Firm of Eric V. Hires, LLC, in July 2008.
