Mother Earth

The clinic, which officially began operating in fall 2008, provides legal counseling and representation on environmental issues to individuals, groups of individuals and organizations.

The Earth Advocacy Clinic, which operates in accordance with the Dominican tradition of concern for the environment, will provide Barry law students with hands-on legal experience dealing with environmental issues. It will focus on litigation, client counseling, regulatory work, lay education and research as it relates to environmental issues. Barry is only the third law school in Florida to offer an in-house environmental clinic.

Students, faculty and staff involved with the clinic will work on cases in partnership with nonprofit and private attorneys and law firms. The clinic has already begun working with WildLaw, an environmental, nonprofit organization.
