Race to the Finish

Miller, who teaches in Barry’s School of Adult and Continuing Education (ACE), finished the race in 3:08:03. A certified ChiRunning instructor, Miller, 60, teaches “Understanding and Coping with Stress” at ACE’s Davie campus and has been an avid runner for years. He ran his first marathon in 1978 in Hawaii and has since competed in numerous races. This was Miller’s 26th New York Marathon and his best age group finish. He competed against more than 1,100 runners in his age group to be declared the 2008 winner. Older age group winners were presented with a crafted silver award from Tiffany’s.
