Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Has the Holiday Spirit

The Barry University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) hosted their annual holiday party; the event benefited H.A.N.D.Y (Helping Abused Neglected Disadvantaged Youth).
The student-athletes presented more than 150 gifts to 50 children from the program. They also coordinated activities such as basketball, volleyball, ping pong and jump rope and even brought Santa in from the North Pole to help with the toy distribution.
The SAAC also assisted with the Handlebars for the Holidays program on December 13 at Lockhart Stadium. The event was sponsored by Associated Builders and Contractors, and SAAC was able to secure 10 bikes for children in the H.A.N.D.Y. program. |
