Entrepreneurial Institute
Advancing the Spirit of Ownership

The Entrepreneurial Institute office at Barry University’s Andreas School of Business was developed as an educational training and economic development technical assistance program. It focuses on the economic disparity that exists in many Miami-Dade communities and provides on-site assistance as well as services on campus by appointment.

Our aims are to:

1. Foster growth in boosting community involvement, morale, and a sense of pride in local community business activities.

2. Aid in the reduction of the economic disparity between low and moderate income communities and the community at large through business development through community seminars and one-on-one consultations with our clients.

3. Increase minority-owned business activities; create new jobs as well as expanding existing enterprises.

The Entrepreneurial Institute is in part funded by the Miami-Dade County Office of Community Economic Development (OCED).
