  • The BIO 300 courses are lecture/lab offerings taught by full-time faculty in the School of Natural and Health Sciences
  • These courses are designed especially for the non-science majors at Barry University
  • There are no science prerequisites for BIO 300 courses…the SNHS instructors presume the students enter with no scientific background
  • Each of the BIO 300 courses offers three credits of lab science, covering two hours of lecture + two hours of lab-bench experience each week of the semester
  • Each of our BIO 300 courses satisfies Barry University core distribution requirements for a lab-science
  • The BIO 300 courses are designed around a hands-on exposure to the scientific method that relates everyday experiences and observations to theory and hypothesis testing
  • The BIO 300 courses expose non-science majors to critically important social, political, and economic issues in health and medicine, forensic sciences, and environmental studies
