Sustainable Ecology

  • Generally available once a year
  • Three credit hours.two hours of lecture and two hours of lab per week
  • We live in a world in which the rates for natural resource extraction exceed the rates for natural resource replenishment
  • This imbalance is better known as "unsustainable development"
  • To learn how to extract natural resources with sufficient replacement is the goal of Sustainable Ecology
  • In this course we directly address the proposition: to live with sustainable growth is to live well
