Laura Mudd, PhD (University of Florida), studies the regulation of growth, differentiation, and survival of neurons from distinct regions of the mammalian brain that are particularly susceptible to neuro-degenerative disorders. She uses differentially cultured brain cells for studies of growth factor signal transduction.
