Transfer Credits

How many credits must I have to be a transfer applicant?

Applicants may after the approval of the Dean and Program Director transfer a maximum of 6 semester hours of graduate courses with a minimum grade "B". Only course work taken in the past 5 years at regionally accredited universities or medical colleges listed with the World Health Organization will be considered for transfer. Students must take all required courses for the degree at Barry University.

What are the admission requirements?

Generally speaking, you must present a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 in all transferable college credits, and be in good standing at the last institution you attended. Certain programs require a higher GPA and may have specific prerequisites. Our admission counselors can explain the requirements more fully or you can reference your program page for more information.

How do I apply?

  1. Complete the online graduate application, or complete the conventional paper application when you visit.
  2. Submit your nonrefundable application fee with your application. ($30.00/online application, $30.00/paper copy made payable by check or money order to Barry University.)
  3. Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions. Incomplete transcripts must be updated with final official transcripts as soon as all coursework is completed.
  4. For assistance with the application and a full description of admissions requirements, please consult your program pages, the Barry University catalog, or contact Health Sciences Admissions.
