Prepare for acceptance to medical or dental school or for a dynamic career in a professional research environment! With a master's in biomedical sciences, your career options include:

Increased probability for acceptance to medical or dental school,
Research in the biomedical or pharmaceutical industries,
Teaching at a community college level, or small four-year college,
Working with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at the State of local level, or with organizations like the National Institute of Health (NIH), the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

If you decide to continue your education to earn a medical or dental degree, you can work in the healthcare industry and teach at a 4-year college with a graduate degree in biomedical sciences.

If you choose to complete a research thesis, we will help you find a suitable company or institution that does research in your field of interest.
You have the option of taking a voluntary internship to gain more experience.
We limit acceptance to 40 new students per program option each year.
Class size averages 35 to 45 students per class.
All lectures and labs for the biomedical science master's program are taught by qualified professors who hold a doctorate and/or are medically trained. (Your faculty will be Ph.D.'s and M.D.'s, not graduate students.)

Record of success. Over the past 25 years, 78% of the graduates from Barry's biomedical sciences program have been accepted to medical and dental schools. In June 2006, 42 out of 44 of our graduates (95%) were accepted to medical or dental school for the fall 2006 semester.
