Graduation Requirements
Students in the Biomedical Sciences Masters program must have completed 36 semester hours of course work with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B) with no more than 8 semester hours of C grade to be eligible to graduate.
Courses with F grades must be repeated and replaced with grades of B or better.
The last 9 credits of this degree must be completed at Barry University.
Students in the 1-Year and 18-month/2-Year Programs must register for and pass a qualifying comprehensive examination based on the required coursework.
The comprehensive exam requires a $50 non-refundable application fee for first time applicants and a $150 non-refundable fee for students repeating the exam.
A student may only sit for the comprehensive exam a maximum of three times. To be eligible for the comprehensive exam a student must have finished 30 semester hours in the BMS program and achieved a minimum 3.0 GPA no more than 8 semester hours of C grades and no F grades.
Students in the Research Program must complete and defend a thesis in lieu of taking the comprehensive exam.
