Required Forms for BMS Students

Comprehensive Exam Forms and Instructions
Note: Information on this site reflects the upcoming exam: May 19, 2012 in Garner 247 and June 8, 2012 in Hollywood Room 1.
Please indicate which date you will be taking the exam.

Students in the Non-Thesis One & Two- year Master's program are required to sit for and pass the BMS Comprehensive Exam before being eligible to graduate. Click here for graduation requirements.

Required Forms
The following forms are required in order to take the comprehensive exam. You will need the free Adobe Reader in order to view the files. All forms and payments are to be submitted to the BMS office by the following dates:

April 1st- April 30th Summer Comp Exam (held in the summer I semester) applications are accepted
November 1st - November 30th Spring Comp Exam (held in the spring semester) applications are accepted
The BMS Comp Exam is always held in GARNER 247.

Step-by-step Instructions:

  • Read the Comprehensive Exam Flyer and Comp Exam Memos
  • Complete the online Comprehensive Exam Application. Be sure to hit submit at the end of the page. (Forms that are not completely filled out will not be accepted).
  • Complete the Registration Form. Scan and send with memos included to bms@mail.barry.edu. The subject should be COMP EXAM
  • Forms may be faxed to the BMS office at 954-367-8696.

  • You will receive an official confirmation letter via email by May 11th.

  • GRADUATION APPLICATION: Once you have passed the comprehensive exam, you must apply to graduate through WebAdvisor. You will find the "Application for Graduation" link under Academic Planning.
  • ALL INFORMATION REGARDING THIS EXAM (INCLUDING YOUR CONFIRMATION LETTER, SCHEDULE, AND RESULTS) WILL BE SENT VIA YOUR MY MAIL ACCOUNT. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL AS WELL AS THIS SITE PERIODICALLY FOR UPDATED INFORMATION.

BRING YOUR IDENTIFICATION CARD TO CHECK IN FOR THE EXAM AT 8:30 AM ON SATURDAY IN GARNER 247 AND TWO PENCILS OR PENS. SCRAP PAPER WILL BE PROVIDED.
