How to Apply
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program

Applying to Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) ProgramWe encourage you to apply to the BSW degree program as early as possible. Whether you're thinking about applying or have already decided that Barry University is where you belong, our admission counselors are here to help.

Not sure if you are a first-year, transfer or international applicant? Check below:

  • First-year applicants have never attended a college or university, or have less than 12 credit-hours of transferable college / university credits.
  • Transfer applicants have at least 12 transferable credits from a regionally-accredited college or university. (Please note: High school students with advanced placement and college credits should apply as first-year applicants.)
  • International applicants are applicants who are not US citizens or permanent residents. For purposes of admission and academic placement, applicants who have received their education outside the United States, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands or Guam, will be included in this category.
