I am from Miami, Florida. I transferred from Miami-Dade Community College and discovered what a difference Barry made in my academic performance. Professors here really show you how much they care, and they are understanding. As a BSW student I felt we formed a special bond, "like family."

The curriculum was very challenging, but it was great - it gave me the background I will need. My field placement gave me good experience for the work that's ahead. My placement was with the Miami Shores unit of AmeriCorps.

I am now in Barry's MSW program as an Advanced Standing student. After I graduate with the MSW, I plan to work with children as a school social worker.
