With its mix of Spanish-style architecture and abundance of tropical trees and plants, Barry's Miami Shores campus gives you a quiet space apart from the fast pace of city life. When classes and studies are done, you'll be happy to find a wide choice of activities. You will be less than one-half hour from the beaches, major sports arenas, cultural events, and the nightlife of South Florida! And there's always lots of activity on campus.

South Florida Excitement
Our main campus location puts you about 20 minutes away from the excitement of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. You will be close to beaches renowned for swimming, sunning, kayaking, and parasailing. You'll be a brief ride from SoBe with its style, sun, and nightlife. Sports venues are nearby: You can check out the Marlins in their next run for the World Championship or join the DolFans at ProPlayer Stadium. You'll have a choice of museums and art studios, and cultural events abound.
You will also have access to a wide range of activities on campus; there are more than 75 student organizations, including a Social Work Student Organization. There is a strength and conditioning room on the main campus. If you are interested in athletics, you will find Barry's teams among the best, with five NCAA Division II Championships as well as 28 Sunshine State Conference Championships.

Technical Support
The Monsignor William Barry Library's research librarians are available to assist you in searching the library's more than 700,000 holdings or accessing on-line networks. The computer lab is well equipped and staffed with knowledgeable personnel who can answer your questions. The library and the computer lab schedules are set to meet student needs.
Student Support Services
Barry's Student Health Services Center, Office of Disability Services, Office of Commuter Affairs, Residential Life, and Career and Counseling Center are staffed with caring professionals who are willing to assist you during your stay on campus.
Dining
Whether you are a commuter or a resident student, you can take advantage of Barry's meal plans which give you the option of eating in the dining hall or the BucStop. You can pick up a colada and sandwich at the Q. An Einstein Bagels also recently opened. Cash is accepted in all eateries.
