The BSW Student Government Association

The BSW student government association, called the "BSW Network," is one of Barry University's newest Student Organizations, being officially recognized as a Student Organization in September 2002.

The organization was formed out of a recognized need for representation of the undergraduate social work program and its students. The mission of the BSW Network is to serve as a vehicle of change by acting as a liaison between the faculty and students.

The BSW Network can also help you become engaged in social or educational activities. The Network schedules activities which encourage development of a values system, espousing the worth and dignity of every human being and promoting the singular importance of the individual. Such efforts are somewhat reflective of the work you will do later in your field placements and your career.
