BUCkids Camp at Barry University to close for summer 2011

Due to several construction projects planned on Barry University’s main campus in Miami Shores from May to August, 2011, the BUCkids Summer Camp will be closed.

Renovations on campus will include the:

A) Penafort Pool
B) HSC Gymnasium (main court floor)
C) Weber Hall (BUCkid’s headquarters)
D) Broad Auditorium
E) and A-ndreas Meeting Rooms 111 & 112 (alternative special event rooms),
all of which are typically used by campers throughout the summer months.

In the best interest of children’s safety, the University is moving forward with these and several other building projects this summer in order to have all renovations completed fall semester 2011.

Due to the heavy amount of construction, the University is at a loss to provide alternative space for the camp, and thus guarantee the kind of service and quality associated with BUCkids camp.

As construction is expected to be completed by September 2011, the BUCkids camp will return to its normal schedule next summer, 2012.

Barry University and the BUCkids camp apologizes for any inconvenience this might cause you. We hope you return to us next summer, to share in our fun, events, special activities, and newly renovated on-site facilities.
