Barry professor Dr. Stephen Morrell awarded Chaminade Madonna Founder's Award

Chaminade Madonna College Preparatory School in Hollywood, Florida is honoring Barry University professor of economics and finance Dr. Stephen Morrell with its annual Founder's Award. Chaminade’s Founder's award is given annually to those persons who have made a lifelong lasting contribution to Chaminade Madonna.

Dr. Morrell is being recognized for more than 15 years of service as Investment Advisor and member of Chaminade Madonna's Finance Committee. As Investment Advisor, he has been responsible for recommending and implementing investment strategy, tactics, and policy for the school's endowment fund.

"It's been a labor of love to work with the leadership, Board of Trustees and especially my colleagues on the Finance Committee of Chaminde Madonna", Morrell said. "We've been fortunate in making investments that have strengthened Chaminade financially.

The investments have provided Chaminade students with scholarships and financial aid, and have helped to finance capital improvements and support Chaminade's operating budget.

“It's been a most rewarding way to provide collaborative service to the community and in the process to further one of Barry's core commitments," Morrell added.
