School of Business hosts 16th Executive Leadership Forum

The D. Inez Andreas School of Business held its 16th Executive Leadership Forum (ELF) on March 21, which included a conversation on “Entrepreneurship and Success: A Testimony.”

Donna Abood, principal managing director of the Miami Office of Avison Young, a global commercial real estate firm, was a guest speaker at the forum. Abood is responsible for client servicing and revenue of the leasing division, and oversees the leasing division’s business development of institutional and local investor clients and tenant representation services, including retail, industrial and office.

Nichole Castater, PhD, associate professor of finance, interviewed Abood, who provided students, faculty and staff with information about her long and successful career, as well as insights into how to manage a career in the commercial real estate market.

The primary purpose of ELF is to enhance the learning experience of students in the MBA program. Guests are invited to participate in a business dialogue, communicating challenges and triumphs to students and the community. The aim of this dialogue is to assist students in recognizing the challenges of implementation and learning the different paths to take as a leader from seasoned executives.
