Lawrence R. Hudack, Ph.D., CPA, CMA is an Associate Professor in Accounting, who joined the faculty at Barry University in 1998. Prior to coming to Barry, Professor Hudack obtained valuable experience at two universities and a CPA firm. Lary served on the faculty at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (1994-1998) and St. Bonaventure University (1981-1984 & 1988-1994). He also worked for a regional CPA firm in New York as a senior accountant (1978-1981)).

Professor Hudack earned an MBA (1981) and BBA in accounting (1978) from St. Bonaventure University and a doctorate in accounting (1989) from the University of North Texas. Lary is both a certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified management accountant (CMA). Professor Hudack is currently a member in the following professional organizations: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Accounting Association, Institute of Management Accountants, and the Academy of Accounting Historians. Lary’s primary expertise is in financial accounting with a secondary interest in taxation. Professor Hudack places a strong emphasis on both the use of technology and the development of desirable skills and attributes (work ethic, communication, interpersonal relationship, etc.) in his courses to ensure that students are well prepared for life after college. In addition to being a dedicated teacher, Lary is very active in his scholarly pursuits, as evidenced by his numerous journal publications and presentations at prestigious conferences.
