Dr. Cruz is nationally and internationally recognized as an expert in quantitative economic analyses with particular focus on regional economic development and macroeconomic forecasting, modeling and simulation analysis. He has established a successful career spanning over twenty years as a university professor, academic researcher and economics consultant to private sector firms and public sector agencies.

Professor Cruz has published numerous articles in professional journals, and lectured in a variety of economics and corporate finance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. His record of professional publications and consulting engagements are testimony to a wide breadth of knowledge on economic issues related to the economy of Florida, the economy of Latin America and the Caribbean, economic development, applied econometrics and economic impact analysis.

Dr. Cruz also serves as a consultant on economic issues to private firms ranging from Fortune 500, multi-national corporations to small regional businesses, and to local governments and non-profit business organizations. Dr. Cruz founded his economics consulting practice in 1993, and he has been engaged in economic advisory services – including litigation support – by over 40 private firms and government agencies.

Dr. Robert Cruz has a longstanding record of commitment to professional, academic and community service and continues to serve on various volunteer boards and task forces.
