Teaching Philosophy |
“I believe effective learning is derived from an intrisic desire. The higher-order duty of a teacher is therefore to aspire his students and show them ways to experience learning.” |
Dr. Roman Wong received his baccalaureate education from Lingnan College in Hong Kong, MBA and PhD in MIS from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale respectively. Before joining Barry in 2000, he was an MIS faculty at the California State University Northridge teaching accounting information systems and database design. His current research interests are in the areas of knowledge-intensive process modeling, component-based software engineering and software reuse, participatory system design, and agent-based modeling. Before his academic career, Dr. Wong has spent more than ten years in the industry as an accounting and systems practitioner. He has also engaged in teaching CPA review courses for multiple institutions and providing in-house training for major accounting firms.
