The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is an advisory committee to the Office of Student Involvement designed in 1991 by the students for the students. CAB is a student-funded and operated organization, open to all Barry University students, which plans, coordinates and presents many of the campus-wide events for students at Barry. By utilizing the student's talents and energies, CAB strives to provide dynamic and diverse programs that meet the needs and interests of the students at our University.
We are built from a base of ten Executive Board positions: President, Vice-President of Marketing, Vice-President of Membership, Vice-President of Administration, two Campus Events Chairs, Cultural Awareness Chair, Travel and Tours Chair, Publicity Chair, and Street Team Chair. We aim to get the students actively involved through our committees, which are directed by our Chairs. The committees that are available for membership are: Campus Events Committee, Cultural Awareness Committee, Travel and Tours Committee, Publicity Committee, and Street Team. There are so many benefits in joining a committee such as: planning, organizing and executing events, getting free giveaways throughout the year (e.g. movie passes and concert tickets), leadership experience, and lastly the ability to work with CAB and potentially join the Executive Board for the next year!!!
We encourage you to take full advantage of our ‘Event Evaluation’ and ‘What Would You Like To See’ forms, and help us to create the atmosphere here at Barry that appeals and interest you!!! Stop by today to see how you can get involved! We are located in Landon Student Union, Suite- 202I.
We look forward to meeting and hearing from you!!!
