Student Retreats
Each semester Campus Ministry provides opportunities for retreat and reflection allowing for students to notice, acknowledge and celebrate God’s presence and activity in their daily lives.
New Student Retreat
This daylong retreat is intended for first-year students and takes place early in the Fall Semester. The New Student Retreat enables you to begin your first semester at Barry reflecting on the Core Commitments of Knowledge and Inclusivity. Using the MBTI Personality Indicator, you explore your personality traits and those of others. This is a time to get to know new people and have lots of fun.
The Busy Student's Retreat
Each semester Campus Ministry hosts the Busy Student's Retreat. This retreat is designed to help you more fully integrate the awareness of God's presence into your everyday life (in the very midst of your everyday life). Rather than retreating away from it all, this experience incorporates daily readings, prayer, reflection, and conversations with a spiritual companion into a four-day campus experience.
Spring Student Retreat
This three day off-campus retreat explores your values, how they operate in our lives, in our Barry Community and in our relationships. The goals of this retreat are to grow in faith, to develop a consciousness of ourselves, and personal insights on social justice issues.
