Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

RCIA GroupAt Barry University , you will be encouraged to pursue your spiritual growth while you pursue your intellectual and professional goals. You may have some fundamental questions about the nature of human beings, about good and evil, about inequality, and about life and death. You will find many answers in your studies, but you may find you want a personal response - you may want to find and better understand the presence of God in your life.

If you find your path is within the Catholic tradition, RCIA can help. RCIA is a course of instruction for adults seeking initiation into the Catholic Church. If you have never been baptized or you were baptized (in any Christian faith) but did not receive your First Communion and/or have not been confirmed, RCIA will guide you in your spiritual journey.

The RCIA process is one of deep joy and growth. It is a journey of prayer, inquiry, instruction, reflection, and, most of all, spiritual growth. Instruction begins in September and culminates at the Easter Vigil Mass during which you will be invited into full communion with the Catholic Church.
