Spiritual Direction and Pastoral Counseling
Campus Ministry offers the opportunity for students to reflect on their lives of study and relationships within the context of religious faith.
Pastoral Counseling
Pastoral counseling focuses on specific personal issues with which an individual may be struggling, and the ways one’s religious faith and tradition inform and guide those issues.
Spiritual Direction
Spiritual direction focuses on the ongoing discernment of God’s presence in one’s life within the context of faith development. A spiritual director is a competent guide who "companions" another person, listening to that person's life story with an ear for the movement of the Holy, of the Divine.
While neither of these services are substitutions for personal counseling or therapy, campus ministers are trained to listen, discern, and pray with any student who is in need of these opportunities.
