John Moriarty

John Moriarty

John Moriarty has an M.B.A. from National University in San Diego, CA, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida. A native of South Florida, John spent nine years recruiting employees for various local and national companies before joining the Barry Career Services staff. John has served as a Career Counselor, an Assistant Director and is currently serving as the Director of Career Services.

Shaunie Wall

Shaunie Wall

Shaunie Wall received her Master of Science in Human Resources Development from Barry University. Also holding a Bachelor of Science degree from Barry, Shaunie has been active here since 2002, as a resident advisor and as a graduate assistant in Residential Life. She is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Leadership and Education with a specialization in Higher Education Administration. Since July 2006, she has served as Employer Relations Coordinator, Career Counselor, and she is currently the Associate Director of Career Services.

Elodie Wendling

Elodie Wendling

Elodie recently received her Master of Science in Sport Management from Barry University. In 2008, she graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Economics. Elodie has worked with Career Services for two years, first as a Administrative Graduate Assistant and then as the Marketing/Event Planning Graduate Assistant. Originally from France, she is a dedicated athlete and avid tennis player. Elodie has now settled into her new role as a Career Counselor.

Kimberly Timpone

Kimberly Timpone

Kimberly Timpone received her Master of Arts in Counselor Education and Graduate Certificate in Career Counseling from the University of South Florida. During her graduate studies, she provided career counseling to students at the USF Career Center. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University. Kimberly recently relocated from the west coast of Florida in order to join the Barry University Career Services Team as a Career Counselor.

Igor Volkov

Igor Volkov

Igor Volkov has an M.P.A. and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, FL. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Leadership and Education with specialization in Human Resource Development (HRD) at Barry University. Igor has worked as the Coordinator of Public Service and Leadership Development Program while attending UCF. He is now serving as the Coordinator of Employer Relations for the office.

Monica Glukstad

Monica Glukstad

Monica Glukstad has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami however has spent the last ten years working in the public relations and corporate communications industry. She is now pursuing her Master of Arts in Public Relations and Corporate Communications degree at Barry University and is the Graduate Research Assistant on the Employer Relations team for the office.

Taquaila Jackson

Taquaila Jackson

Taquaila received her Bachelor of Arts in Television Production and Sport Administration from Howard University in 2008. She is currently working toward a Master in Arts in Broadcast Communication and aspires to work in television production within sports or entertainment news. Taquaila joined the Career Services Department as the Media Relations Graduate Assistant in 2011 and serves as the Social Media Specialist.

Giannina Zanardi

Giannina Zanardi

Originally from Miami, Giannina has a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism and Spanish Language from American University in Washington, D.C. After working two years in the marketing industry, she moved back to her native Miami to pursue a Master of Arts in Public Relations and Corporate Communications here at Barry. She is now on her second year in the program and serves as the Marketing Graduate Research Assistant for Career Services.

Career Counselors Liaison Model

We are committed to working closely with faculty, staff and employers to help our students and alumni discover the career that best suits their interests and skills. Each of our career counselors acts as a liaison and comprehensive unit between students/alumni, faculty and employers to streamline the process for academic exploration and career search planning.

John Moriarty is the liaison for:

  • Adrian Dominican School of Education

Shaunie Wall is the liaison for:

  • College of Arts and Sciences: Biology (including pre-professional tracks), Chemistry (including pre-professional tracks), General Studies, Undecided/Undeclared
  • College of Health Sciences: all majors/degree programs except Nursing
  • School of Podiatric Medicine

Elodie Wendling is the liaison for:

  • College of Health Sciences: Division of Nursing
  • School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences
  • School of Social Work

Kimberly Timpone is the liaison for:

  • Frank J. Rooney School of Adult and Continuing Education
  • College of Arts and Sciences: Psychology, Communication, Fine Arts, English and Foreign Languages, History and Political Science, Mathematics and Computer Science, Sociology and Criminology, Theology and Philosophy
