Student Statistics

You will find that Barry offers a wide range of degree programs and has the ability to support them fully with highly qualified and dedicated faculty as well as all the necessary, current equipment and facilities.

Barry offers more than 60 traditional undergraduate programs, accelerated bachelor's programs designed specifically for working adults, and more than 50 graduate programs (many of these with evening and weekend classes).

In its 2004 Edition of America's Best Colleges, U.S. News & World Report ranked the academic quality of Barry University as one of the strongest in South Florida. Barry maintained its position in the second tier of master’s-granting universities in the South. The only other South Florida school to make it to the second tier of its category was the University of Miami (national universities-doctoral). Barry University also has received a strong rating in the 2002-2003 edition of Great Colleges for the Real World - Get In. Get Out. Get a Job.

The student to faculty ratio at Barry is 12:1, allowing for personalized attention which, in turn, enables students to more easily reach their goals. Eighty-two percent of our faculty holds the doctorate, first professional, or other terminal degree.

Student Population

For the several years in a row, U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges Edition ranked Barry as having the highest campus diversity among all schools of our size in the South.

In 2003-2004, our total enrollment was 9,042 (full-time and part-time undergraduate, graduate, adult and continuing education, and professional).

Barry enrolled 3,042 full-time undergraduates (primarily in our traditional programs). Our part-time undergraduate population totaled 2580 (primarily in our accelerated bachelor's programs designed for working adults). Our full-time graduate students totaled 1288; our part-time graduate students totaled 1559.
