Career Services Mission Statement

The mission of the University is quality education, religious dimension, community service and a caring environment. Using the Barry mission as our guide, the goal of Career Services is to nurture student development through:

• Providing quality programs and services open to all students and alumni
• Developing relationships that encourage leadership development and community involvement
• Empowering students to achieve professional success

Furthermore, the Center helps Barry University students by building networking relationships between students, staff, faculty, employers, alumni, and the community.

We provide the following services in an atmosphere of respect and confidentiality:

1. Career development and planning assistance to students and alumni.

2. Innovative, informative career programs including activities, presentations, and seminars.

3. Interaction with area employers to promote career development within the surrounding community. The Center offers communication and interaction with employers nationwide to increase recruiting opportunities. Career Services seeks to provide services that benefit Barry students and alumni as well as employer partners.

4. Collaboration with faculty and staff to provide services in a comprehensive, beneficial, and efficient manner.

5. A commitment to serve the needs of all Barry University’s undergraduate, ACE, graduate, and professional students and alumni throughout the State of Florida by extending the Center’s resources beyond a traditional Monday - Friday format by utilizing Internet technology and extended evening hours.

6. A dedication to continuous assessment of our programs, events, and services in order to best meet the needs of all students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
