Leaders and pioneers in the arts, education, health care, and public service fields were honored Jan. 24 during Barry University's annual Celebration of the Human Spirit. The event recognized the commitment and dedication of outstanding leaders in the local and international community. Honorees included Edward and Linda Villella of the Miami City Ballet, Dr. Paul Ahr of Camillus House, Penelope and E. Roe Stamps of the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation, and Joan Stout, RN, president of the Hugoton Foundation.
This year's interactive event showcased Barry's Fine Arts program, allowing those in attendance to experience first-hand the plethora of student projects and state-of-the-art classrooms, and celebrate the arts and service of the university with our students in theater, music, dance, painting, ceramics, photography and design. Celebration of the Human Spirit took place in Barry's Fine Arts Quadrangle.
