John McFadden, Ph.D., CRNA

A practicing CRNA who joined Barry University’s Master of Science Program in Anesthesiology full time in 2001, Dr. McFadden is Associate Dean in the College of Health Sciences and the Administrator of the Master of Science Program in Anesthesiology. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Dr. McFadden holds a BSN from Gwynedd-Mercy College, a Master of Science in Health Care Administration and a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from St. Joseph's University, an MSN from the University of Tennessee, and a Ph.D. from Barry University. In addition to his responsibilities as Associate Dean for the College of health Sciences and Administrator of the Master of Science Program in Anesthesiology, Dr. McFadden is responsible for teaching clinical lectures, and research and leadership coursework. With a background in hospital administration and education, his areas of special interest include accreditation, bioethics, evidence-based practice, and professional issues.
