T. Hays, Ph.D.
Elizabeth T. Hays, Ph.D. (University of
Maryland), studies caffeine and theophylline action on (as well
as other aspects of) vertebrate skeletal muscle physiology. Through
a component of the MARC grant, she correlates a program for improving
the academic preparation and retention of science students from
diverse backgrounds. She is very active in the National Science
Teacher’s Association, Association for Multi-cultural Science
Education, and Society for College Science Teachers, both as a meeting
presenter and a member of numerous committees.
