Our student interns frequently have an employment advantage in the broadcast industry because they have had the opportunity to train at one of the stations in Miami, a market rated 14th in the country.

The Department of Communication places interns at the following stations:

• WPLG Channel 10 (the ABC affiliate)


• WTVJ Channel 6 (the NBC affiliate)


• WSVN Channel 7 (the Fox affiliate)


• WFOR Channel 4 (the CBS affiliate)


• WBFS-UPN Channel 33


• Spanish speaking networks such as Telemundo, Univision, Telenoticias, and MTV Latino


• Public access stations such as WLRN and WPBT


• WXEL (Barry owned) in West Palm Beach.
