Dr. Katherine Nelson is an Associate Professor and has been at Barry since 1998. In addition to acting as the department’s Internship Coordinator, she teaches courses in interpersonal, small group, relational, and family communication, business and professional communication, public speaking, and qualitative research methods. Her research in codependence has been recognized among those in the area of family communication and her current research centers on the effects of addiction on interpersonal and family relationships. She earned the Ph.D. at Arizona State University.
