Discounted Metro Passes
The Office of Commuter Affairs offers discounted monthly Miami-Dade Student Metro Passes. The Metro Pass has unlimited use for one month (starting 1st ) on all Miami-Dade transit buses and Metro Rail. The current price is $37.50 with a valid Barry student I.D. Discounted Metro Passes will be made available for purchase starting the 25th of each month for the following month's usage. Miami-Dade Transit parking decals may be purchased for $6.25. Purchase must be made in person with CASH payment in the Office of Commuter Affairs, Landon 108.
Tri-Rail
Tri-Rail Station: Metrorail Transfer Station
Take Metrobus Route L, then transfer to Metrobus Route 9 or 10 to Northeast 2nd.
Bus Routes
The number 2, 9, & 10 bus routes make stops at Barry. Typically, you can get to Barry with only having to make 1 transfer.
Carpool/Rideshare
Barry University was the first university to team up with South Florida Commuter Services to provide an online database specifically for students. You can register your location and class schedule and find other Barry students who have similar requirements so you can all save money and time. Lockers: Commuter student lockers are located in the library. Lockers are available to rent each semester for $10. Rental agreements must be renewed each semester. Locks/keys are provided.
Commuter Parking:
There are two main commuter parking lots. One is located on NE 111 Street and North Miami Avenue next to the Landon Student Union. The over flow parking lot is located in Andreas Park on NE 115 Street and NW 2nd Avenue.
Shuttle:
The Shuttle Buc is a service provided by Barry to bring students to and from the Andreas Park parking lot to the University's main campus.
