Case Management

Case management is the process used by human services professionals to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the options and services being provided. Barry University offers a 30-hour, three CEU Certificate Program geared to a wide variety of human services organizations with a broad spectrum of clients, including elderly, youth, homeless, indigent, offenders, and substance abusers.

The program emphasizes community, family and environmental strengths and includes these topics:

  • Assessments
  • Responding to client needs
  • Work and work ethic
  • HIPAA privacy laws
  • Confronting substance abuse and mental health issues
  • Conflict resolution and crisis intervention: handling emergencies
  • Management issues
  • Learning to triage

Any of these topics can be offered as single workshops.

The topics listed for each subject are typical examples. The specific training content and time duration can be customized to meet your precise needs.
