EdS in Counseling

We are delighted by your interest in the Counseling profession and invite you to explore our website where you will learn about our Educational Specialist Program. This reputable program meets the needs of both practitioners and clients for the new millennium.

Students have the opportunity to experience face-to-face instruction in an active, culturally diverse, and hands-on learning environment. Classes are offered at two different times in the evening to accommodate students. Course scheduling allows for an option of either 4 p.m. or 7 p.m. for most classes.

The on-site clinic in Miami Shores prepares students to provide counseling services to the surrounding outside community. Learning new and cutting-edge counseling models, such as solution-focused, narrative, and other strength-based approaches, prepares students to become expert practitioners in the field.

Specializations

You may choose from four innovative counseling specializations for the Specialist's degree:

• Marital, Couple, Family Counseling/Therapy
• School Counseling
• Dual Specialization in Marital, Couple, Family Counseling/Therapy and Mental Health Counseling
