Dr. Maureen Duffy Family Enrichment Center
The purpose of the Dr. Maureen Duffy Family Enrichment Center is twofold: (1) to provide counseling services to the community on a sliding fee basis; and (2) provide on-site training to Barry University Counseling program students, the mental health leaders of the future. The Center supports the initiative of Barry University in extending a helping hand through professional services, and to the community. Clients are seen by treatment teams under faculty supervision to maximize the delivery of quality clinical services. Therapy services focus on enhancing clients' strengths and resources.
As a service, training, and research center, counseling services are provided by interns and practicum students who are completing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Counseling. These students are supervised by the full-time faculty members of the Barry University Counseling Program, including Licensed Family and Mental Health Counselors. The clinic is fully equipped with state of the art audio / video systems to facilitate live supervision and supervision of supervision.
Range of Services:
Our services are offered to clients from preschool through late adulthood. The Clinic services include individual, family, marital, couples, and group counseling. Consultation services are available. Workshops and training tailored to individual needs are also available.
The Dr. Maureen Duffy Family Enrichment Center costs are based on a sliding scale with $20 as the minimum fee.
The center is open Monday through Thursday from 3 to 10 P.M. Appointments are made by contacting the Dr. Maureen Duffy Family Enrichment Center in Miami Shores at 305-899-3726 and Orlando at 321-235-8413.
The Dr. Maureen Duffy Family Enrichment Center does not provide: a) emergency services; b) drug detoxification counseling; or c) care for those with acute mental illnesses. Those requiring these critical care services are referred to the appropriate facilities in the area.
