The Ph.D. in Counseling Program at Barry University is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The CACREP accreditation is the premiere national accreditation for counseling programs which signifies that the accredited program meets the highest training standards of the counseling profession. Barry University's Ph.D. in Counseling Program was the first doctoral program to be CACREP-accredited in South Florida.

The Counseling Doctoral Program provides graduates with the expert knowledge that they need for counseling theory and practice.

SPECIALIZATION

The Ph.D. in Counseling Program is designed for students who hold a master's or higher degree in counseling or a related field. Our program provides a Specialization in Marital, Couple, and Family Counseling/Therapy and includes education and training aimed at developing skills that will prepare you to assume leadership roles in the field of counseling.
