Founders' Week 2014: Distinguished Lecture

Barry University is pleased to announce that Linda Plitt Donaldson, MSW, PhD, will be our seventh Founders’ Week Distinguished Lecturer. Her presentation will explore the concept of social justice and invite participants to consider possible approaches for doing justice as a Catholic campus community.

Dr. Donaldson earned her doctorate from Catholic University of America, where she has served on faculty since 2004. She brings extensive experience in non-profit social service management and public policy advocacy.

Since 2009, she has served on the Peace and Justice Committee for the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, and she has just co-authored a chapter entitled “Catholic Social Teaching, Poverty, and the Economy.” The chapter will be available as a resource for the Barry Community to prepare for her Founders’ Week lecture: Walking with Two Feet of Love: What Does Social Justice Look Like on a Catholic Campus?
