Then join us for our How to get Hired Presentation series where three different experts from the recruiting and HR field will share their own knowledge and experiences on what it takes to get hired in today’s job market.
First Session:
Thursday, Feb. 1st, 4:00pm in the Kostka Room in Thompson Hall.
Ms. Laila Kassam, the Talent Acquisition Manger at Chrysalis Health, has over 15 years of experience in recruiting, screening and interviewing job candidates in the fields of Social Work, Counseling, Health, Business, Sales and Management. Ms. Kassam will be sharing experiences of what successful job candidates do to get hired and what unsuccessful candidates do that prevent them from getting hired.
Second Session:
Wednesday, Feb. 7th at 4:00pm in Andreas 112.
Mr. Brett Lowe, the Business Development Manager with Express Employment Professionals, a $3 billion company focused on providing employment solutions, including evaluation hire, temporary staffing, professional search and human resources for businesses around the globe. Brett will share his insight of what employers expect of a job candidate and will pull back the curtain on the actual hiring process.
Final Session:
Tuesday, Feb. 13th, 7:00pm in the Landon Events Room.
Mr. Andres Lopez, a two time Barry Alum (‘01 BS Sport Mgt. and ’08 MS Human Resource Development) and 4 year letterman with the Barry University Soccer team, is currently a Recruitment Consultant with Performance Search Group, an executive search firm based in Austin, TX, and will be relating to students his experiences transitioning from being a Student Athlete at Barry University to recruiting and screening job candidates.
