Affluenza: How Overconsumption Is Killing Us--and How To Fight Back

On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, Barry University will host its annual one-day Undergraduate Mini conference inspired by the 2018 Common Reader: “Affluenza:  How overconsumption is killing us - and how to fight back.” the conference will explore the theme of “Affluenza: Causes, Symptoms and Remedies.”

This exciting all-day event includes panel presentations, discussions, guest speakers from local community-based agencies, service opportunities, and many other interesting sessions designed to help understand the impact of “materialistic values” on personal well-being, community engagement, and overall quality of life.

Attending conference sessions may be required or optional assignments for many classes.  Instructors may require attendance to the conference as part of a class assignment.
