"Sun Come Up" film screening

"Sun Come Up" film screening

Join Barry University and the Catholic Coalition on Climate Change as we remember the Feast of St. Francis, patron saint of those who promote ecology, with a viewing of the Academy Award-nominated move, “Sun Come Up.

Date: Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012
Time: 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Location: Landon Student Union Events Room

Sun Come Up” takes a gripping look at some of the world’s first “environmental refugees,” residents of the Carteret Islands, who have been forced from their homes due to climate change. The Catholic Church has been instrumental in helping to relocate these climate migrants.

After the film, there will be a discussion on the steps viewers can take to respond to the unfolding climate perspective based on authentic Catholic teaching.
